How It Works

01.

Book Your Session

After you fill out the contact form here on my website, I’ll send a link to my calendar so you can choose a date that works best for your family. From there, you’ll complete your booking with a questionnaire, contract, and retainer all in one simple step.

02.

Get Ready

Once you’re ready to book, you’ll receive the details for your remaining balance and a secure link to your Private Client Lounge. This is your personal hub where you can find everything you need to prepare for your session - from tips on what to wear, to location guidance, and what to expect on the day of your shoot.

03.

The Session

The fun part! We’ll spend time capturing the real, joyful moments that make your family who you are.

After your Session

Once your session is complete, you get to relax - I take it from here. Within 2–3 weeks, your full gallery of hand-edited images lands straight in your inbox, ready for you to download, share, and relive. I pour a lot of care into choosing the frames that tell your family’s story in the most honest, beautiful way.

I begin designing your album as soon as your gallery is delivered. Your custom album arrives 1–2 weeks later, professionally crafted and made to last. It’s one of my favorite parts of the process! Turning those small, in–between moments from your session into something your family can hold onto for years.

My goal is always to make the entire experience feel easy, simple, and meaningful… from the first email to the moment your memories are in your hands. If you have any questions about printing, displaying, or selecting your favorite images, I’m here to help. You’ll also continue to have access to your Private Client Lounge, which includes a full section on print ordering FAQs and tips for storing your photos.

Things You Might Be Wondering

FAQs

How would you describe your photography style?

I’d describe my style as honest, joyful, and guided with intention. I step in as your creative director to help your family feel at ease and capture moments that are both beautiful and true.

How do I book a session with you?

I’ve made the booking process simple from start to finish. Fill out the contact form here on my website, choose your date from my calendar, and complete your booking link with the questionnaire, contract, and retainer. That’s it - your session is officially on the calendar!

Do you offer payment plans?

I don’t offer payment plans at this time. A 20% deposit at booking secures your date and the rest is due the week of your session or on the day. Simple and stress-free so you can focus on enjoying your family.

How long does a typical photo session last?

My family lifestyle sessions are scheduled for 45 minutes, but there’s a little wiggle room built in. If we’ve captured all the magic and everyone’s feeling great, we might wrap a bit early. On the flip side, if your little ones need a few extra minutes to warm up (been there - mom life!), I’m always happy to extend the session by 10–15 minutes. My goal is to keep things relaxed, playful, and full of joy so we can capture those sweet, genuine moments that matter most.

How long does it take to receive the final edited photos?

I look carefully at each and every image I capture at your session and hand select the best images. My current editing process typically takes 2-3 weeks. I prioritize quality and attention to detail to deliver exceptional images.

How many photos do I get?

My family session includes a gallery of at least 30 high-resolution, hand-edited images delivered in both color and black & white. But I’ll let you in on a little secret - my galleries are almost always bigger than that! I never hold back on delivering all the meaningful, joy-filled moments we capture together.

Can I print my photos?

Yes, your investment includes a full print release for personal use.

Do you provide raw and/or unedited images?

You will hear my camera clicking all the time at our session, but not all those photos are going to be edited. I will be choosing the best of the best for you and edit those. Any unedited photos will not be given and are not available for purchase.

What is the best time of day to have the session?

Lighting plays a crucial role in how your images will turn out, and I absolutely love working with natural light to create beautiful, timeless photos. To achieve the best results, timing is key!

For outdoor sessions, the ideal lighting happens during “golden hour” - the hour or two just after sunrise or right before sunset. The length of this window changes with the seasons, offering soft, flattering light that enhances every moment.

I provide an estimated time during the booking process, and the day before our session I will confirm the exact time for your session, usually within 15-20 minutes of the original time.

Do you take any traditional posed shots?

Yes! While my sessions are rooted in capturing real, authentic moments, I always take a bit of time to guide you through a relaxed flow of portraits. I’ll gently pair up siblings, get those sweet shots of each child with mom and dad, and of course capture the whole family together.

Even during these more “posed” moments, I aim to keep things natural and fun - encouraging snuggles, giggles, and little interactions that bring out your family’s personality. It’s all about creating a gallery that feels genuine and full of heart.

What happens if it rains the day of our shoot?

In the case of inclement weather, we'd just reschedule for the next available date that works best for the both of us. You won't lose out on your session or retainer, so no need to worry.

What do you do with awkward people like me? I need posing help!

Oh, don’t worry - you’re not alone! Most people feel a little awkward in front of the camera at first, and that’s totally normal. I’ve got you covered! I’ll guide you with simple, natural prompts to help you feel comfortable and relaxed. No stiff, awkward posing here - just gentle direction that brings out genuine smiles, laughter, and connection.

Honestly, some of the best moments happen when you’re just being yourself, and I’ll be there to capture it all. So, don’t stress - I promise we’ll have fun!
